Welcome to the pages of RES Enviro. My name is Rolf Skea, and I am a professional engineering and technology scientist with more than 35 years of applied chemistry experience with process technology for wastewater treatment and anaerobic digestion.
My specialist skills for wastewater treatment technology, anaerobic digestion, and bio-process chemistry are underpinned by formal qualifications in chemistry and bio-technology and with a Masters of Science in Water Management. Research projects focused on wastewater technology and process engineering, combined with over 3 decades of industry experience in bio-process and chemistry applications.
From large AD & wastewater treatment works to small scale package plants, industrial process wastewater, agricultural wastewater, mining process & wastewater, ultra-pure water, water production and wastewater from air-pollution remediation technology.
Rolf's speciality skills:
Wastewater treatment technology and processes
Anaerobic digestion technology and processes
Thermal treatment, Pyrolysis and Gasification technology and processes
Solids/Liquids separation technology and physical-chemistry processes
Membrane separation technology and processes
Chemical dosing and dosing technology
Process chemistry and bio-chemistry
Process chemical measurements, on-site monitoring, on-site laboratory analysis

RES Enviro offers process and technology assessments & technical support and in-service training for operational personnel. Wastewater treatment systems - Anaerobic Digestion - Field Analysis and Instrumentation - Data analysis - Method development.
RES Enviro develops training & e-Learning for the wastewater treatment industry to fast track skills for personnel working with technology and process science. Training is most effective when delivered in an applied science format and backed with e-Learning files and in-house case studies.
The technical training is developed specifically for the UK Wastewater Treatment sector, and approach the process with inclusion of the applied chemistry needed to effectively problem solve on the local process technology.
Professional summary biography for Rolf Skea
As a formally trained and experienced wastewater treatment specialist, Rolf has served in a variety of roles across the industrial, research, and utility sectors throughout his career. Technically, his responsibilities covered operational and engineering aspects related to water and wastewater treatment, water resource quality, nutrient pollution, and emissions discharge to air, land and water. For these roles, the main purpose was to provide technical expertise in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and internal team members across diverse professional disciplines. With hands-on skills with engineered technology, instrumentation, chemical analysis and data management, he uses applied chemistry expertise, data processing techniques and adaptive reasoning to achieve desired outcomes in process design and optimisation. Using modern information communications technology to design functional outputs as supporting documents, Rolf can communicate the relevant technical aspects accurately and concisely when collaborating with non-technical participants and stakeholders from related professions. He is equally adept at working as a team leader or a team member, using scientific principles, knowledge, and expertise to inspire, influence and drive change.
